Description
I've been wanting to do this one for a while, particularly after seeing all the Jojo fans around here--and the reactions to my "covers" of other characters than my own.I settled on the silhouettes to try for a certain mood. After that, the song they're doing was easily chosen. A special dedication to my contributors in "Cover-Toons".

It's been ages since I last watched Horton Hears A Who (I actually own it on Blu-Ray... found it used for $10, but I haven't watched it yet).
If I remember correctly, he was sort of a quiet, misfit-like character? I've noticed how popular he is too, and to tell you the truth, I just don't really understand it (much like the popularity of the Lorax characters from the recent cgi animated film)... But, considering many character's I'm a fan of, I don't have any room to complain. lol
Well done on the pic.

There ya go. You know; brooding outcast=instant superstar! Particularly, when you're young and not sure of your identity, you automatically relate to characters like that. I recall what someone said about Kansas' "Dust In The Wind" when it was released...

I mean, that's a great song and all, but listen to those lyrics. Not surprisingly, teenagers were drawn to it like literal moths to flame, and it became a hit. Now you have entire bands, like Smashing Pumpkins and AFI who base their entire careers on the "brooding outcast" thing. So, you see, it's nothing new. It's at least as old as James Dean. It will go on so long as there are people to feed it.
I rather like Jojo, though, 'cause he is genuinely loveable, and hey, he's voiced by Jesse McCartney, someone who can actually sing. If it weren't for that, this piece wouldn't make much sense. Thanks again!
( ...wonder who I can get to cover "Dust..."...
)
