Description I felt I should do this one on two levels--one, this is an awesome character which reminds me of my own dog, (although he's not this big, thank God) and two, I promised that I'd draw wolves, and I'm overdue.

This is Superboy's intimidating partner/pet, first appearing in the episode "Alpha Male", appropriately enough.

Remember, don't call them sidekicks, and DON'T call him "Krypto".

Oh, you know for a fact that I definitely became a fan of this character. I have to say, I was actually quite excited when Superboy decided to take Wolf with him. From that point on, I started liking the show more. lol

To be honest, I've thought about drawing him myself. I may still do it, but I haven't decided yet. We need more fanart of Wolf (my new favorite character from the show... yeah, I said it. lol).

Great work on him!

Yeh, I figured as much. Anyway, like I said, I did promise you wolves! I'll likely have something for your "Hokey" group sometime. (almost sounds scandalous the way I put it lol)

And I thank you for them too.

And hey, I appreciate any Hokey Wolf fanart (with the exception of some pictures I've found here on DA... the ones that fall into the category of fetishes... Makes me wish I could hack into the site and delete them out of existence). I look forward to your drawing of Hokey!

Yeh, the downside of "free expression". At least you can block 'em...

i'm not familiar with said character, but something tells me i should be.

nicely done! every time i pick up a paintbrush, the paint tends to run away in the opposite direction i intend it to go. you sure have a steady hand.

vaguely reminds me of Kiba.. or maybe Gin... err both... but definitely wolf. i'm jealous XD

This was Wolf's first appearance:

Oh, I appreciate the compliments, but that's not so much the result of a steady hand as it is saving frequently and often, combined with LOTS of patience. If I had a quarter for every time a pad or mouse went rogue on me, I would not have to paint, write, or work at all!

you're being too modest.

from the lower link , and i understand there aren't a whole lot of ways for animators to interpret abnormally large white wolves, but one of those shots makes it look EXACTLY like Kiba from wolf's rain. i'd forgotten about that show... oh, but from a broader angle it looks significantly different. whew.

Hey, just tellin' it like it is. Thanks for the patronage!

I happened to see an issue of "Wolf's Rain" at work a few days ago. I do like that idea--it reminds me of the classic mystery film "Wolfen" with Albert Finney & Edward James Olmos.

I'm sure the manga in the original language makes so much more sense and explains more than the show. the show had so much potential but there seemed to be so much lost in translation and implied rather than explained that the interpretations were getting out of control by the end. unfortunately, the biggest problem seemed to come form the fact that there was a lack of focus and way too many central characters, which is sad, as i like to advocate for fleshing out even the most minor characters (which they did), but in the end... it was detrimental to the plot itself.

oh? seems i'll have to try and rent that film.
