I'm already past 70. The world outside me has turned very dark indeed. Time to break out the Bourbon and Coca-Cola and have a party!

The house is sleeping, draped in shadow. Soon it will awaken with the 1st cup of coffee. Then the sunrise will transform it. Many peope depict only the sunrise and a place at full light,b you have caught the beauty of that quiet stage between the night & day.

My dear Staats ~ Just looking at the 9 thumbnails to the right, your palette has darkened considerably, with the last
year's worth of deviations. But I DO like this one, esp that tiny, house-shaped object to the left of the building(?)
Is there something in your life that has altered your approach to w/c? or shouldn't I ask? For example, I just retired,
and quite frankly, I am definitely unsettled and not as confident or content. And I do think my latest deviations are
quite reflective of that. Hope that's not the case for you; I admire your work...but sometimes, we need to turn corners...
sometimes, WIDE corners.

well I don't think anything is wrong, health wise, I am aware of approaching 70 which is sobering.
Mainly, I am trying to integrate these works into simple visual sentences, and it is easier with limited color.
The world is darker too!
