Another little tutorial for you to enjoy, also my favorite of the three. This time on EASTERNS! Take note that this method is only MY VERSION of how they fly; there are probably endless explanations as to how the Easterns fly.

EASTERN STYLINGS: FLYING WITH "MAGIC"

Flying using "magic" describes a dragon who can go airborne without wings. During their flight, they use nothing but their paws to navigate, unlike the winged dragons, who rely on their necks, wings, and tails.

When flying with "magic", a dragon mainly uses its forepaws to push off the ground and surroundings. It works by creating a sort of force field that emanates from the front paws. These fields are incredibly potent and dragons increase the "power" (used to gain altitude or force) by stretching their paws.

To move backwards, they press their paws down and forward. To hover, they pres striaght down.

To move forwards, they press their paws down and back.

To turn, they push out a paw in the desired direction and splay their fingers; meanwhile, the other hand is held close to the chest and the fingers curl to lower the "power".

A popular attack or retreat *see bottom right*, depending on where the enemy is. Can also be a way to take off. One of the most powerful gestures in flying as it makes one gain height rapidly.
