Description So here is part two of my manga tutorial...this only goes over the first 5 tools I plan to talk about and it would have been way too long to include all 22 tools. These are only the things that I use as an artist and some descriptions and stuff, the techniques and what-not will come later.

Part 2A will focus solely on drawing tools. Hope you'll look forward to it!

enjoy! <3

In Japan there are 100-en shops like an ichiban-kan that sell bargain manga supplies and pens (usually watery, gross Mitsubishi felt tips.) A4 paper is more abundant and more manga tools are in craft shops,
but this by no means makes Japan a fantasy land to live in. Perhaps a sign of isolationism.

Well for the time being it is safe to say that manga is far more popular in Japan in than here in the US (although it is a fast growing market). We have stores here like that too, full of "cheap" but low-quality stuff but we produce so much of it that we can sell it back for low prices, but if we exported it we would have to sell it for higher prices regardless of its quality to make up for the shipping/packaging/import fees etc. I guess it depends on the sort of product you are looking at....

And I agree, there is no perfect place to live, but I'm still coming to live in Japan as soon as I can ^_^

You will lose all of your white privilege instantly and plunge into the worst place in society you could ever live in upon moving to Japan, I will warn you for safety's sake. Those jokes about men being black and getting arrested in europe and america could be said about white or white passing adults in Japan...
And yes, most craft shops in america have countless art supplies. They just differ from the unspoken guidelines manga seem to have. Lots of neat things, though, definitely not too much of an issue.

Really? Hmm, well if it makes a difference I would never recommend people moving to America either -__-" Thankfully I live in California so I don't deal with a lot of intolerant obese jerks that Americans are known for being, but its still nothing like the amazing cultures in the rest of the world. And as a girl in America I actually don't have many privileges anyway...but in any case I will definitely listen to your advice, so thank you

Well of course not, I've lived in a good portion of America. It's very varied.
No country is completely comprised of its stereotypes, there's always a segmented area of people with differing or opposite opinions.
But being a white woman (speaking on systematic) in America still puts someone above a lot of other people in a lot of other races. It's a socialisation thing most of the world is still getting over from fifty years ago.

You lived in America? Which parts? And I defiantly agree, I just want to travel I guess (I've never been anywhere before...)

Texas, the appalachian mountains, and southern California, as well as travel between.

Haha you've been to more places in the US than I have... lucky. I'm sincerely jealous...I've been in southern california my whole life...I guess that's why I'm so determined to leave.
