Description
So, yeah, I know I already did a "original" Elements of Harmony piece, but I have now completely redone my made up timeline for My Little Pony so that it involves all the old generations as well. This is part of my really big fanfiction project that covers quite a few centuries worth of my part headcanon and part made-up-because-it-sounded-cool stuff, which I'm calling the Cycle of Harmony. This is the first of five generations of Element Bearers, set during Generation 1. These ponies were really easy to choose for the Elements, seeing as they were the original choices to play the Mane 6. If you didn't know already, here's the cast:

Twilight (just Twilight, NOT Twilight Sparkle): the Element of Magic
Applejack (I'm considering her a distant ancestor of Generation 4 AJ): Element of Honesty
Firefly: Element of Loyalty
Sparkler: Element of Generosity
Surprise: Element of Laughter
Posey: Element of Kindness.

Although many people tend to illustrate these characters as just recolored Mane 6, I wanted to depict them as different characters entirely. They are also different personality-wise. Twilight is very shy and tends to daydream. Applejack is hard-working and determined but rather clumsy. Firefly is brash and reckless, but would rather show off than brag because she thinks actions are louder than words. Surprise is as random as Pinkie Pie, but instead of parties she loves to surprise others. Posey is very demure and believes deeply in hospitality and manners. Sparkler is less obsessed with staying clean, in fact, she sometimes enjoys getting a little dirty while searching for gems to make jewelry, although she's embarrassed when ponies come across her in such a state.

Once I start writing the fanfiction, their characters will be more fleshed out. I'll link it here once I start posting.
