I hated those alternate colors and I hated how they redesigned him (and how they redesigned Cyclonus too) for Lost Light.Β I do not like them messing with my childhood "G1" Classic Heroes and Villains.

Okay... I like the designs. But well, I need to admitt that I never got into G1. Though I read a lot about it, I never saw it. DidnΒ΄t have an opportunity to do so. Was long before my time.

If you donΒ΄t like the designs for the comics, what do you think of the movie designs then?

I want to tie Micheal Bay up and force him to watch a series of just his own explosions.Β I tried to like the 2007 film and I was nostalgic for it halfway BUT I am too old fashioned and what I expected was more like what Bumble Bee seems to have done.Β I have seen some previews and a couple clips from BB and it seemed to correct much of what Bay did.Β Β

Sounds like a great idea.
But I can understand, I also donΒ΄t like the movies. Too many explosion, too less plot, too less emotions, too complicated character designs (I can understsnd people who say they canΒ΄t tell them apart) and too much military-stuff.
Bumblebee was great, I really recommend seeing it. Though there are still a few points that (kind of) tie into the Bay-movies, it has mostly cut all those connections and did its own thing. It felts like Travis Knight was like "Do we have to tie into the other movies? Okay.... letΒ΄s make it as less as possible.". But still I hoped that this movie would be a complete reboot, which it sadly isnΒ΄t. Also since in comparison to the other movies it made the lowest box office count, they are thinking about bringing back the Bayhem- which is like super stupid, since... I mean... how can you make a mistake for ten years, then do it right for one time and then decide to make the same mistake AGAIN?! Just.... sigh, whatever.
So, yeah... guess we will see what the future brings.

A bit off topic but I want another G.I.JOE movie and they were rumored to be working on both a MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE live-action movie and a M.A.S.K. film, which was rumored to be a spin-off now of the next G.I.JOE film.Β With the success of over-the-top movies such as Aquaman (I mean WOW how they did all that!), I could see MATTEL wanting to get in on the movie franchises and actually do that MOTU movie, if they get a good script and the right director, but PLEASE NOT MICHAEL BAY!

I'm not too fond of all these franchises, though I've seen both GI Joe movies a few years ago. Don't remember them well...
The thing is, today after the MCU happened, everybody wants to be like Marvel. A huge franchise with millions of characters and movies that are all connected by a greater plot. I can understand the thrill of that. (I'm planning that in my head for my own stories and fanfictions like mad) But still it's difficult. You can see that in the DCEU. The reason why the MCU worked was the fact that they had a plan and knew where they wanted to end up right from the beginning. DC saw that and that Marvel was making a bunch of money with that so they wanted to have a CU as well. As quick as possible with as less work as possible. That shows in their movies. They don't have a plan, they don't know where they want to go of for which style they are aiming. In batman v superman they kinda tired to keep the dark tone of the Nolan movies, but movies like wonder woman, Aquaman or Shazam are far more colorful and funny. It all doesn't fit, their are almost zero connections between the movies and it all just doesn't make sense. That's why I kinda backed off DC. The last DC movie I saw was Wonder Woman which I really liked - in the context of the movie itself, not the DCEU thing. That still didn't make sense. And I heard many good things about Aquaman too, so I wanted to see Shazam in cinemas again but sadly didn't made it. Now I'm really excited for the Joker movie. That trailer just killed it. At least the English one. The German synchronization was just... Ugh.
I really hope they will learn from their mistakes.
And I hope that not all new franchises will just do what marvel did. Then it will get boring very soon.

I like DC but that stated, I prefer the TV version of the DCU with what is affectionately referred to as The ARROWVERSE with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and now The Batwoman.Β DC trying to make movies while there are other incarnations out there on TV is a slap in the face to most people unless you are a die hard DC Fan.Β They should have learned from SUPERMAN RETURNS (2005), which was a movie in the theater while there was still Smallville on TV which I think just confused the general movie goer.

I heard about that too. But also IΒ΄m not that fond of the DC series. I saw the first season of "The Flash" and a few episodes of "Supergirl". I really liked "The Flash", really a well done series and I found it weird when there was a different Flash in "Justice League". Idk, it just felt... strange.

The actor they cast in JL to play The Flash was just all wrong to me.Β Barry Allen was supposed to be a Forensic Scientist and then becomes The Flash by an accident and the way the TV series did it was PERFECT.Β The actor in the movie looked like he was 12 and there is no way he would pass as a Forensic Scientist.Β He was just way too young.Β Not the right actor in my opinion.Β Aquaman was PERFECT with Jason Momoa as the Hero.Β I don't care for Ben Affleck as Batman.Β I also didn't care for the outfit for The Flash in the Justice League film.
