Italy has fallen out of his icon box. From now on, whenever he talks, all we will see is a purple square.Also, hello there England. We haven't seen you since Chapter 7. It's been a while.

True. We saw the blue magic on the door too, so I suppose it's likely England was the one who locked Italy inside with the monster.
(Also considering England stood just outside the room when the others arrived.)
Come to think about it... The monster kind of strangled, but didn't kill Italy despite clearly having the chance - and then Italy woke up without memories.
Did England have something to do with that? We already know the monster can alter memories, so it wouldn't be a big stestretch to say it can also erase them.
It has already be somewhat proven in your comic England has some/a tiny bit of control of the monster - or England might have tricked it to obey.
England clearly felt Italy knew too much at that point, so it would make sense if he wanted Italy's memories gone. :/
