Try to wrap the snake(s) more around the person (neck, belley, legs; depending of the composition) rather than just dropping it on the model.
It's still a great one though!

The composition and model is very cool, but the focus is terrible

Well thanks for commenting anyways! I know the focus was terrible, it was my first photo shoot with models other than myself and I was so nervous! One of the photographers from the shoot is going to do one with me and give me some pointers. All was not lost!
