it's an adorable acrylic on canvas. What triggers me to favthis one is all the love I can find in it. The familiarity of the scene: a loved one warning the lover that is going to sleep, a kind of goodbye, too... but because this sleep can also be death... I mean. this is tender, original and has quality. period!

I adore your imagination. I really love this picture, it blows my mind away. I could look at it and look at it, and look at it forever..
Just for now I'm captured by the blue shading on the lower bird and the yellow leaves.

ecch. The birds sort of creep me out. Big wads of chewed bubblegum resting on a 3d tree. Cool though.

I really like the birdish creatures and the tree, as all have said.

you always know just what the world needs to look at.
like you are the big red arrow that says
I HAVE SOMETHING AMAZING TO SHOW YOU!
pointing at a tree or a bird or a cucoon guy.
I love them all.
this reminds me of glass, the kind of glass they make fancy windchimes and bowls and marbles out of that have like an oily coating over them to make them look like they are an entire rainbow in themselves.

all the colors in this kind of remind me of tropical fish for some reason, i think its that way they kind of glow in comparison to their surroundings. the yellows and blues against the darker colors in the tree; the brightness of the birds, especially the one on the right. i really like that bird -- the yellow and red tints in it make me think of peaches, some sort of alien fruit maybe. its general form and colors are really beautiful.

daqueen-one In reply to startattookid [2005-07-14 12:38:16 +0000 UTC]
lol
It is allways easier to learn words "from the simple people". Would you like to learn the worst French words?
OK, little disciple...it's not the worst but,it's a good beginning:
We can begin the first lesson with: "trop de la balle!".
Nothing to see with "la balle" = "the ball" , but an expression of young people
whether personally I don't use, or if not, to caricature a situation.
That wants to say something as "it is really cool"...But if my mother said that, I think I'll fall from my chair!!!
exemple : you go to a party where the music is excellent, perfect environment and the small delicious cakes (without speaking about beer which runs with flood)... so you can say : "C'EST TROP DE LA BALLE!"
"c'est trop de la balle" = "it's really cool"
satisfied?

Love the tree, its almost got a personality of its own.
I think a background would have gone down well, but interesting work none the less.
