Anybody remember when I used to draw these two all the time? It's been a while.Still not too big on the FMA fandom in general, but nevertheless I'll always love this pairing to death.

So great of a pairing. And when I first started shipping them, I thought I would get flayed and left for the vultures. So are EdxWinry fans that I thought the fandom would hate me for being obsessed with EdxRose, let alone AlxWinry (now THAT will get you fried XD ). I was so happy to find the two groups on here for them so I feel safe in my preferences.

However, I think I will also always love this pair to death, and the old good memories forever, even if they were pushed aside by a vicious group of some - and at a time I couldn't understand that silliness... :s I love your picture, it makes me happy to see something like this is still around since I've stayed far away from the fandom for a very, very long time now. when i first saw this i was like O_O EdxRose?! xD and I agree. I remember some great times in my little corner of the FMA fandom but there was always this overcurrent of complete... it's pretty undescribable. XD I wonder how bad it is now? But I don't even think there are active edxrose fans at all anymore.......

Ergh you're right... The FMA fandom is often times a terrible place to be... I've been attacked about preferring the 2003 series over BH more times than I can count.

I didn't care for the art style at all, either.
The story behind it all is that the original anime was produces when the manga was still in its early stages. FMA on a whole had pretty much just started becoming very popular. The author of the manga gave the studio that was making the anime all of her plans for how the manga was going to go, and told them to do whatever they want. She didn't want the same story being told at the same time. So, the old anime, produced in 2003, doesn't follow the story of the manga. Brotherhood comes around 6 years later, premiering soon before the manga ends. It follows the exact story line of the manga, to an extent. They two anime are completely different universes/stories.

I agree. I don't like how they look, either. I know, that's very prejudice sounding of me, but it's true. Of course there are other reasons why I also don't like it as well, but I wont go into that.

I feel the same way. Sure, the 2003 story was kind of halted towards the end, but it just had so much more feeling than BH, especially because it took its content seriously. For that reason, FMA '03 will always hold a place in my heart...

Yes! There was the period, like you said, where not a whole lot really happened (after the creation of the Stone and before confronting Dante) but other than that, the plot was so much more unique. It has, like you said, so much more feeling.

Yeah, the FMA fandom is like the only fandom I stay religiously away from. It's filled with bullies and judgmental know it all's that think they can get away with doing stuff just because they have numbers. >< Sry, I had a really bad experience with 'em.
