after seeing ~Mizutori post up an Embodiment of Scarlet Devil version of this meme (which is awesome, by the way ), i was stricken with ~INSPIRATION~

so i did basically the same thing but with Imperishable Night characters instead. i am so cool.

this was really interesting to do. i am terribad with colors, so this was an interesting way to try something new for a change! i'd been meaning to do this for a while, and i'm fairly happy with the results. all of this was done with the pen tool in SAI.

stage one is wriggle, who fit really well with the color scheme. like, perfectly well.
stage two is mystia, who i really like this image of. it's supposed to look like the dark parts are her singing causing night-blindness, so i hope that came across well!
stage three is keine, even if i drew her in her extra stage version. it might have been easier to do her regular version, but that little touch of red just called out to be the ribbon on her horn. that's supposed to be a scroll around her btw
stage four is both marisa and reimu, which i realised when i started drawing it and then i raged. but the colors worked out ok, i think. for reimu at least. i DID use that orangey color, but it really doesn't show up against the red.
stage five is supposed to be reisen, but i put tewi in there too because i like her better. reisen is still there though, her eyes are in the background and all. this one i think came out pretty cool, since i didn't shade or so lines or anything. it looks kind of ...pop-art-ish. since tewi is a moon rabbit, i made her skin/ears/tail the same color as the moon. her hammer is that color because...any other one would have looked weird.
stage six is either eirin or kaguya, and they're both there. i like kaguya better but thought eirin fit the colors better, so kaguya is just chillin' in front of the moon.
