Aye it is pretty cool
I get odd looks (mostly from old people) when I'm in the middle of the street and go 'oh bottle cap!' and pick up a dirty peice of metal
but I also collect bones and carapaces so I'm used to weird looks

The trick is to do what you want and not care what other people think of you (within reason of course)
and you just find them around or people who know what your like will give them to you, look for anywhere where animals would be
