Alex has been out picking mini-tomatoes for a good hour and a half, and is proudly showing her mom the fruits of her labor.
Alex looks a bit younger here, probobly around 8 or 9, instead of her "Current" Age of Ten and a half.

Also, let me introduce you to two new characters that, unless I'm mistaken, most of you haven't seen before!

The tall woman in the waterproof boots, flannel shirt, and ponytail under her cap is Jean, Alex's mom.
Jean is the more confident, strict, but also fun of Alex's parents. (As opposed to Russel, who is more laid back, and acts more like a teacher). she works as a farmer and as a stay-home mom, and occasinally picks up odd jobs here and there due to her handy nature (something Alex takes after quite a bit, to the point she is arguably at the point of superceding her mother in handyness, dispite not being alowed to use powertools unsupervised)

The dog by Jean's side is Tannor, He's a mix of a lab, a golden retriever and a few other hints here and there. He is friendly, overexcitable (He enjoys tackling people and then attacking them with licks on the face), and kind of dumb/clumsy at times. He middle aged, around 7 (they got him at around a year old when Alex was around 4, a little after their previous dog died when Alex was 1, and too little to remember)
