I think the lack of expression speaks volumes about this character. She looks like she grew up in an absolute hell-hole with those eyes alone.
Well done.

wow..... i dont think it lacks expression at all....
pretty scary for me.... it reminds me when i was a kid and watch chuky for the 1st time, got me pretty scared since i was too young.......Β
i think sometimes a plain expression says more than a well achieved one Β ..... in fact i would say this is even stronger, cos it brings a doubt to the public like a movie with an unsure ending.. letting the viewer play with its imagination......
nice... what program do u use for painting or drawing?... did u learn by urself o are u into graphic matters for living?.... sorry random questions i would love to paint like that but since i'm into numbers i cant have the pleasure or even think about it for serious........ so its a hobbie that i cant master...
i really liked this, i dont usually comment or log in here, so if i waste my time it meansΒ you should't be dissapointed....... u got my attention with your crappy description... IT REALLY ROCKS.... my passport is way worst hahaha
byessssss

Hahah thank you~ I guess when I posted it I was part angry at how long it had taken me to finish up this drawing, somewhere between 3-4 hours just painting and painting, so between the unrealistic expectations and the time it took me I wasn't happy with it at all.
To answer your questions, this is Photoshop. I learned all by myself. I was in a similar situation in which I had to work a shitty call center job while studying computer science, so I really had little time to draw while I was in school. I mean, I still don't have a lot of time to draw because I switched to advertising and teaching. (I loved working as a web developer but I found no chemistry with my co-workers, so I chose to teach instead, I love it).
It's all about the energy, love and effort you put into illustrating. If you're gonna teach yourself, be extra picky about everything and try and meet fellow illustrator friends that can help you out. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Reminds me of Hester Shaw from the Mortal Engine series
Great painting
