Moar prothean kids.So this is Vahana about 9 or 10 in equivalent to human age, dressed in her royal garment.
The Second Tier garments are the "semi formal" wear for daily purposes.
The First Tier are for ceremonial occasions, I don't think I'm ever going to have the chance to make it appear in any scenes, so... 'm not gonna draw it unless somebody points a Reaper up at my head.
Vahana's signature color was cherry blossom pink.
Traditionally, Prothean children of royal castes wear a veil to ward off evil spirits (and to hide their faces from the public), they'll remove the mask after their rite of passage. In Vahana's case, she no longer wears the veil after she was stripped away from her royal status.
30 min of speedy stuff for quick reference, trying to get the sense of overall design and color scheme than into the decorative details.
Done for for a collaboration comic.
I'm gonna be in charge with the story and is going to draw, I think.

At this time of age, she wouldn't. In fact, she'd just be as happy as a kitten being hugged, so go ahead.
We're not supposed to lay our hands on her though, her cousin (you know the one) might bust the hell out of us.

I'm also keeping up with a comic strip series project which talks about the Prothean Reaper War stories.
Kinda figured not a lot of prothean lores were explored enough out there... it might be a good frontier to explore upon.

I really like the concept of having kids wearing talismans for their good health/fortune. It's like a common thing among many cultures.
I had some when I was a kid, too, it actually makes you feel special.

well, being a chinese, I wore a tailsman given to me by my mother.

Yeah I was going after the Japanese vibe in the Prothean Cycle.
I got talismans from my grandmothers, jade pendants, from both dad and mom's sides.
And my grandma (mom's mom) used to sew these neat little stuffs with red thread on her grandchildren's clothes for good fortune.
