ExerciseA piece out of the 90th oil-colour and a few tempera with egg, the original was a bit larger 30 cm x 40 cm, I cut off the empty space

Such beautiful colors. The gentle pink, and I think it's the half dark background that makes this picture. You've really captured the picture of this shell, it feels like a photo, even though it obviously isn't.

Why not? Pinks are so different but easy to mix. Its more that few red and yellow additions that are giving the colour its extras.

If you are getting to opaque so do a carmine or crap-red as underpainting (perhaps with some back or blue inside) and use more kremser-white than titan white, titan is very opaque. Try to let a bit of the ground look through. on light spots it should be opaque in the shade be more transparent

You should look for an English spell-checker on your system, that helps a lot with the spelling, without that my correspondence would look more horrible
