Anyway, what do you think would happen if Steven fused with Connie and a Gem at the same time, but then was pulled away from it or something before the fusion could take form?
Like, both the Gem and Connie were about to fuse with Steven, but then something happened to leave only Connie and the Gem.
I personally like to imagine Connie permanently fusing with that Gem, i.e. becoming half Gem and half human.

I only really ship characters who are canonically in a relationship with one another, but this never really was about shipping. It was about whether it would make for an interesting story to have Connie become half Gem, like Steven.
