Good for him/her to find herself and not try to hide it ^^
I know transgender people myself (a woman in a mans body), who's gradually taking the various steps.
Right now, she dresses in female clothing, wears make-up, and is trying various methods for hair-removal (the beard).
So I too support ALL genders / transgenders, and also all sexualities (I'm pan myself) ^^
The world needs more equality and tolerance toward all sorts of trans people and sexualities, and your friend has taken a big step toward that by coming out ^^
She has MY supprt too, even though I don't know either of you.

Right now she's getting used into changing her name from Mikkel to Sandra.
Ofcourse her parents have trouble with it (even I do, but I'm okay calling her Mixxie since thats feminime)

my friend recently changed to a feminine name ^^
She was Michael, and now she's Milla (like the actress)
And I can understand it's hard for the parents to get used to it, but I hope they at least accept it, hopefully even encourage it ^^
