Description
Amora was born somewhere in Asgard, her parentage unknown. While still in adolescence, she ran away to the land of the Norns and apprenticed herself to Karnilla, one of the most powerful sorceresses in all the Asgardian dimension. There she studied all the basic arts of Asgardian magic until Karnilla expelled her for being too undisciplined. She picked up further sorcerous skills from seducing other Asgardian mages and wizards. The Enchantress is a member of the races of superhumans known as Asgardians, and as such possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and durability. She possesses an innate capacity to manipulate ambient magical energy, honed through practice for a variety of effects, including projecting magical power bolts. She has used her sorcery to enhance her natural beauty and allure, and to enchant her lips so that she by kissing virtually any man she can make him her slave for about a week, unless she renews the treatment. She can also use her magic to heal any of her injuries rapidly. She also possesses limited mystical senses. A prolonged absence from Asgard tends to diminish her powers although they never fade completely.
The Enchantress has a gifted intellect, and possesses extensive knowledge of Asgardian mystic and amatory arts. She has received extensive training in sorcery by Karnilla and various Asgardian mages and wizards.
On occasion, the Enchantress employs various mystical artifacts, potions, and power objects

Wonderful pic, I love The Enchantress, is my favourite female marvel character.
The truth is that the things that you say are very true, it shouldn't be so difficult to do anything to improve this character and do that it is one of the best and JMS if he had the interest that is supposed that he should have, he should do it.
The only small critique that I do to you, is that, in the artistΒ΄s comments, you don't mention that the Enchantress has a younger sister who is called Lorelei.

Thanks! I am aware of Lorelei, but I try to keep the descriptions short with a brief explanation of who the characters are without going on about family, friends etc.

Ah! The Horse-faced hero! Sweet memories of cool, underused characters, especially the Enchantress. Hopefully, some Marvel writer, artist or editor will stumble across this piece, realize how cool (not to mention, HOT) she is, and rectify that oversight.

don't mind me saying but she sounds rather villaing like as well eventhough she works with superhero's.. (*she does work with superhero's right>> ) anyway I love the compostion it' fits the picture perfect and it gives you an shivering feeling to it wich is good
the perspective is just awsome.. I like this perspective since I'm not able to do this perspective myself I always enjoy seein gother people use it so well,
next the color.. green I like.. and the shades of green you used her make the picture even more marvelous then can be described in words,
to say it in short, wonderfull job..

Well, technically she's a villain, but she isn't really. she just does what she feels like doing.

I love this, the colours and shadows look amazing. Plus she's a really good character who hasn't been used much lately and should be. I also really like the background.

too true. She definitely is indeed underused. Too bad, given her power level and the current success of the new Thor title. And with Loki currently in the form of a female, I doubt she will return anytime soon as two magic chicks in the books would be too much.

StevenVnDoom In reply to DasTenna [2008-06-25 20:40:51 +0000 UTC]
She's one of those characters that should be seen more often. Marvel needs a really good female supervillain. Someone that's so dangerous the all the heroes would drop whatever they were doing at the moment to deal with her. DC has some really powerful and well respected female A-list villains but Marvel seems to be lacking in that department. Maybe The Enchantress would be suitable to fit that role.

DasTenna In reply to StevenVnDoom [2008-06-26 21:50:16 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, youΒ΄re right. Though they have some awesomly strong heroines, they really lack good female villains. And even the heroines are nothing compared to DCΒ΄s strong women, first of all the amazons...

StevenVnDoom In reply to DasTenna [2008-06-26 22:26:31 +0000 UTC]
Exactly! DC is awesome when it comes to publishing successful titles starring women, Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, Manhunter, not to mention the legion of cool heroines out there. I remember this awesome issue of wonder woman where nearly all the heroines of DCU appeared to help her fight Circe.

Thank you ^^ Well, she rather is an anti-hero I mean, killing and acting more or less against the law. But I like her background story. Maybe IΒ΄ll look some issues up at our comicstore.
π: 0 β©: 1
StevenVnDoom In reply to DasTenna [2008-06-30 13:54:02 +0000 UTC]
Well, I've followed her series. She isn't really a cold blooded killer like the Punisher. She doesn't kill every villain she comes across. But is a situation does arise where that action is necessary, she will not hesitate. She works with Babs Gordon in the Birds Of Prey; I don't think Barbara would have her if she was very eager to cross that line.
