this is gorgeous! The black and white greys-scale coloring makes this look like something out of classic 50's sci-fi.
Lovely! =3
But how did you make this? did you use space and star brushes? What about Greg Martin's planet and star-field tutorials? Did you use those too. =3
[link] & [link]
or did you use a different planet and space tutorial?

We just finished the Silver Surfer picture, though we made a few tweaks to your original, I hope you don't mind. I made sure to credit you and link back to the original background picture here. Hope you like it, and thank you very much for letting us collaborate with your work. I think the worked really well together!

Hi! You have an amazing piece of art here! I just recently drew and inked a picture of Marvel's Silver Surfer and I've been trying to find a good background that matched the lightsources, and I found that your picture does if I reverse the it. I was wondering if you would allow me to use this picture as the background, citing and linking back to your page when I post it. Of course, I completely understand if you don't want me to, I just wanted to ask you before starting to color my picture incase I need to keep looking. If you want to see the picture of Silver Surfer that I'm talking about, here is the digitally inked version: [link]
Either way, thanks for reading and keep up the great work!

Thank you very much! I will definitely link back to your picture and I always mention who worked on what in the credits of a collaboration, so I'll link to your profile as well. This is one of my favorite art pieces, so I'm very happy that we can combine our talents! Thanks again!

Awwwww.. I thought you did it by default brushes. I myself cant seem to get around using brushes. Makes my work feel, "cheap" don't know if thats the word to call it.
:/

yeah, I hate it now too.. i mean i did make this 2 years ago i think..
right now im trying to save up some extra cash to get a cheaper wacom tablet, i have started practicing using the default brushes and some grunge brushes for nebulae and stuff, havent had much time to do anything lately though.

Ohhh Wacom is so expensive..
I had this Genius 8x6, it was my first ever, though I lost the freaking pen! *doh*
Its cool seeing as its only 35 bucks now, its really good for the price range, I was expecting poor quality. Look at my stuff, I use no picture brushes, straight default.
Still new to this all though.... very new.

Thank you for the comment and the fav.
When I first made it, I tried to put in color, but it didn't feel right, so I made it one. =]
