Description Finally found the time (and the light!) to take some better pictures. Even invested in some card for an infinite background.

A trip to a show and general inquisitive pokings have made one thing obvious; it's simply too flimsy. Can't decide whether to press on with the Auriga or try and gut this to make something just as pretty outside but substantially sturdier inside.

Just came across this randomly and had such a crazy nostalgic trip back to childhood and now i'm obsessed with trying to build this as i have several generations of lego just lying around. But for the life of me i can't work out how you connected the blue sloped pieces on the bottom of the ship to the clips along the curved tube section on the instructions that you posted. Such a cool build that actually got me to rake out all my old lego and cause a huge mess on the floor so thanks for that and i really hope you create a full fleet of ships from this crazy good game

A picture being worth a thousand words, like this:

It depends on you having the version of the slope without a peg in the middle. Ideally the new version with little lugs in the middle to hold a stud central, but last I checked they hadn't been made in blue yet. The old version just has an open slot and it can be a bit of a nightmare getting them all lined up! Also over time they can lose friction when clutched on a single stud like that.

Hope that helps!

That helps a great deal thanks! i'm looking forward to seeing more builds from you for sure. Any plans for a little jack perhaps?

The Skies ships have been a little on the back burner for a while - mostly because my workload is ridiculous right now. Somewhere I have a half finished design for a Little Jack but it's to scale with the Delphinus et al, which is to say it's a very little Little Jack!

Awesome! Thank you. This model looks amazing, might try to make one for my own desk.

This is legit the most awesome thing made out of Lego ever. Yes, even more than the Back to the Future Delorean.

I want a Lego Delphinus.

Unholy shit, this is great!

(and a Little Jack model would be even better... )

Thanks!

The Little Jack is one I've given some thought to. Being so small it's tricky to cram the detail in, but I do have some ideas...

You know you'll never be happy with it until it's right. Particularly if it keeps reminding you of it's failings by exploding when anyone looks at it funny...

Yeah, and once I do start to tinker I'll probably resolve a bunch of other issues too. Sometimes I'm a bit too eager to accept the first solution which presents itself, and then reluctant to bin what I've got.

I like it. A touch of the battleships of anime such as captain Harloc.

I hadn't even heard of Captain Harlock until someone mentioned it on another comment, but it does look right up my street!

Yeah. Old school anime. Barely remeber it now.

Seriously Awesome man! reminds me of playing epic battletech back in the day.

I'd say gut it... but set up a space scene depicting it's death in epic fashion first -'J

It's already in bits from when I took it to the show, so it wouldn't take much effort!
