Today I made myself a flatter, a tool for flattening irregular sheets of steel. My flatter is made from a 3/4 inch thick, 2 inch wide bar of steel, bent at one end at 90 degrees and bolted to a handle. The way this tool is used is to place the face of the flatter on top of the steel and pound down on the flatter with your hammer.Related content
