Ah, this art speaks volumes! Very nicely depicted and also, very sad.

Great painting. I like the concept of stranded polar bears on top of a melting globe. Great message. Also, I like how you handled the denier troll. I've encountered said individual before because I made two or three pictures about global warming and then received a plethora of denial comments and links to blogs no one has heard of as proof global warming doesn't exist. We got into a pretty heated debate, and I was banned from arguing, even though he was the person commenting on my art. Ironically, the experience has only fueled my desire to make more art dedicated to global warming.
Anyways, I apologize for the random life story. Again, great work!

Wow. This just...wow. Reminds me a little of Schimmel's art (animals + earth/space + environmental message) Nice job!

I always loved his work when I was a kid. I am hoping that I do not step on any toes by reflecting a similar theme. I'm trying to do my own thing with it ^_^

No wonder it's melting, look at all that fur!
Here's a really good site on polar bears, run by a polar bear scientist polarbearscience.com/

I appreciate the interest but I only believe in peer-review I especially don't listen to "scientists" that receive money from climate-change denial groups. The science behind global warming is sound and is backed by 97% of papers on the subject. Just because one or two outliers exist doesn't change reality.

The site in question discusses peer-reviewed research.
Proof, please, that the scientist who runs the site in question, is paid by the oil industry.
I didn't realize that polar bear science fell under climate science. Can you show me exactly how?
Research papers on the MWP alone total over 1200 papers, and show that it was warmer than today, and will remain so for some time to come, while the IPCC and others keep trying to claim otherwise. That one subject alone is more than 'one or two outliers.'

Um no, it doesn't. Her attacks are not peer reviewed, there's a reason they are in a blog and not in science journals--because they wouldn't pass muster. Notice none of her "Polar Bear Science" is published in places like Nature or any zoology journal. It's because it's crap. There's no such thing as "Polar Bear Science" It's a combination of zoology and climatology (or more accurately, a thinly-veiled attack on climate change.)
And yes, she receives money from the Heartland Institute: watchingthedeniers.wordpress.c…
Yes, they are outliers. That is not real, peer-reviewed science. Peer reviewed research that is accepted by the vast majority of scientists demonstrates that not only are temperatures warmer than the MWP but that they have very different causes. "Peer review" doesn't mean their friends looked it over and thought it was all-right. "Science journal" doesn't refer to anything with science in the title and "papers" only include things in science journals. 97% of published, perr-reviewed papers agree that climate change is REAL and CAUSED BY PEOPLE.
But I am also aware having done this dance before that there is no science I can cite that will stop someone like you from believing whatever-the-hell they want. I am banning you because I don't have the time or patience to argue psuedoscience.
