Description These are my own custom made pony sprites. I originally made them so I could do a crossover with Sonic and Mario for a web comic that recently been forgotten.I want to make my own so I didn't half to ask permission or give credit (not that there aren't those that deserve it. )

What I have here is just the templates of the walking and standing poses. I have a TON of characters but the animation right now is lacking I'm working on that so this just a WIP for now hope you guys like it.

I've been getting some help by using 's bases as reference, this all my stuff. But I want to make sure I give credit to the ones who helped.

My little pony is owned by Hasbro
Friendship is magic owned by <- check her stuff out!

First issue you have and you admitted is shading is pillow shaded. While shading is my weakest subject still, I shall instead list some tutorials who give a better demonstration: [link] - [link] - [link]

They're the same thing so take the one you think is better.

As for the Pony sprites themselves, the head shape looks really good (outside shading) to me. The body of the Pony is kind of... Fat. And I think the back legs are bent a little too backwards but that could be just me. Horn is kind of long for a normal unicorn and the wings could use a better shape up. And the animation for the walking seems kind of weird.

My advice, find a reference of the characters and try to shape the body more like them. When you have the stance remade, study other horse/pony walking animations and see how they make the horses move (I used the Desktop Ponies and Urimas's Ponies as a reference to mine) and try to emulate that. Also, redraw the legs when you do so. Simply moving them gives them an unnatural feel to it.

I hope this helps you.

It is. But it is worth it if you can pull it off.
