This is awesome. Looks like I found some inspiration. Just curious, but have you tried turning a cloud picture into a flat continent? I found it works great with both earthly planets and flat land continents for rpg creation.

I know that others have used this method successfully, but I haven't tried that yet. Most my work is for commissions where the clients have pretty solid ideas as to how their world ought to look like, so I can't use those somewhat random shapes.

Fantastic. My first fantasy novel, the first thing I did was draw the map (pencil and paper back in the 1980s though!)
