PERSONALITY

Goofy // Flirty // High-Energy // Loyal // Sensitive // Aloof // Hard-Working

GOOFY: In the cheesiest, most corny way. Whistlebeak is not afraid to make himself play the part of the fool in order to get a good laugh out of another. He likes to keep moral high and, although most of his go's at laughs are intentional, Whistlebeak is, essentially, goofy. Oftentimes he finds others laughing at things that he says unintentionally. Sometimes this irritates him but he also takes a sense of pride in the fact that he can make others laugh without trying.

Flirty: With anything that moves, to be honest. Whistlebeak has no shame in his game. No maiden, young or old, is free of his flirtatious jabs. He likes making the lovely ladies squirm uncomfortably or laugh at his sad pick-up lines. It's all part of the game. Unless she decides to play it back. He wouldn't know what to do with a she-cat that might actually like him.

High-Energy: Whistlebeak is always the last one to bed and the first one up. He is constantly on the move, which often leads to him tripping over his own paws, but he tries to make himself useful. He is a highly efficient hunter, capable of bringing in high volumes of fresh kill simply due to his boundless energy. This also makes him eternally hungry which can sometimes be a problem - Whistlebeak won't eat anything with a rat-like tail. Squirrels? Good. Birds? Even better. Mice? He will scream like the little girl he pretends he isn't.

Loyal: Family comes first, the rest can wait. Though he is the first to admit that he isn't the most accomplished fighter, Whistlebeak does all that he can to provide for his family. He is great with kits when it comes to his nieces and nephews, constantly watching over them and coaching them. He isn't ready to settle down just yet with a she-cat, potentially due to a fear of raising his own kits.  If anyone around him is sick or in need of care, he does what he can to help.

Sensitive: Despite his likable nature, Whistlebeak can be quite sensitive when it comes to his physical prowess. He isn't sensitive so much when it comes to females (he doesn't take his own advances seriously so their rejection isn't harmful to his mental state) but his attacking and defensive maneuvers could use some work. This isn't helped by the fact that his brothers, Bramblewhite and Windwhisker are both accomplished fighters. He doesn't like to be watched when training and, most of the time, will slink off to some secluded area to practice by himself.

Aloof: Not to say that he isn't sociable. He thrives in the limelight and loves being the center of attention. However, when it comes to more important matters, Whistlebeak loses interest. He doesn't like to view his life as serious but, if confronted with hard topics that require definite choices, he becomes uncomfortable and tends to shut down. He fears that a wrong decision will leave him alone and disliked, both which would spell death for a cat like himself.

Hard-Working: With his loyal nature and high-energy, no one can say that Whistlebeak isn't hard-working. He works hard to get others to like him, to get others to bond, and to get others to like themselves. He tries his best at all times to provide for his clan. However, he is content to spend the rest of his life as a warrior. The responsibilities of a leader do not appeal to him.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:

Look at the picture, damnit! Of average height and slightly underweight, Whistlebeak's thick fur is the only thing that prevents him from looking thin. He has large, bright green eyes that constantly seem to sparkle with life and humor. He has large ears, with the right ear constantly drooped. Whether this is intentional or due to a prior injury has yet to be determined. Whistlebeak has a fluffy tail and fairly thick neck scruff which he hates to groom. For this reason, he often appears a bit unkempt or dusty. White stockings cover his front legs. The toes on his backfeet and the tip of his tail are also dipped in white. Taking after his mother, he has a light brown coat with darker brown stripes across his face and legs. His shoulders and hindquarters are spotted with a few dark brown rosettes, thanks to Daddy. A broad white stripe comes down from in between his eyes, covers his muzzle, and extends down across his belly.

BRIEF HISTORY:

Whistlebeak was born the son of the clan leader and his beautiful she-cat on the side.  His parents adulterous relationship was full of love and fire and rainbows and then they all died and only Whistlebeak lived happily ever after.

Just kidding.  None of those shenanigans happened to this feline.

Born in a litter of four to two warriors of Mountainclan, Whistlebeak was raised just as any other cat would be.  He was taught the things kits were supposed to be taught.  He played with his brothers and sisters when he was too young to be an apprentice, practicing his hunting skills and learning the ways of the clan.  And to fear mice or anything else with a rat tail.  To keep a long story short, it involved his sister -  of all cats - a large stick, and a bundle of rat tails hung above his den.  His entire litter, two brothers and a sister, were made apprentices at the same time.  While his sister, Willowsong, and he excelled at stealth and hunting swifter prey, his two brothers, Bramblewhite and Windwhisker, both outshone him when practicing their fighting skills.  He didn’t mind too much though; from birth, he had been overlooked when compared to his beautiful sister and strong brothers.  He learned early that strength was not the only way to gain the respect and love of his clanmates.  Always a goofy fellow, his endless energy and vivacity always allowed him to make friends quickly.  Despite his supposed immaturity, he became a warrior with his sister three moons after his brothers were given their warrior names.  Since then, he has caught birds (Starclan forbid he ever be unfortunate enough to have to catch a mouse), served his clan, and make a complete fool of himself.
