Description
Now that uploading my pictures is a possibility, I began to add all my old drawings, ones from when I was learning how to draw. Darren Bader, who is an artist for MTG trading cards is my drawing idol. The crater hellion was originally drawn by Darren Bader, for the Magic the Gathering trading card set, and this is not my original work, merely an emulation of his, to learn about foreshortening, depth and scope. I think I did pretty well at translating it from its original form.
No tracing has been done, entirely from an example. You can find the original drawing by Googling the magic card: Crater Hellion.

That looks really cool... my first impression was a path up a tendril of a plant for some reason.

This picture is drawen by me, but is a copy of one drawn by Darren Bader for the Magic: The Gathering TCC. I really like Daren Baders' work. I wanted to try something snake-like and sinuos, this picture actually drawn from when I was 17.
I uploaded it for an example mroe to myself to let me know how I have advanced as an artist over the years. So while it is new to posting in my Gallery, is actually quite a few years old now.
I too see the plant reference. Would make a great Beanstalk from Jack and the Beanstalk...

Yeah, I understood that from the description. It's cool that the pic is so old... brings back memories, right?
That's what I was thinking, Jack and the Beanstalk! That was such a creepy story...
