Description
Today, it was a very hot, humid, almost suffocating summer day, at the end of which a serious thunderstorm rolled over the entire country. You could litterally see the storm front rolling overhead... it looked really weird, like a wall of clouds was quickly closing in and filling up the evening sky...Ok, you'll never again hear me say that the sky in Holland is completely uninterresting

Thats a wonderful shot,truly amazing!
But this remind me the last summer when my mother I went out to take a walk, and then suddenly such a similar cloud appeared on the sky,and we immediately ran home like fools.
In Luxembourg these things are also very rare...

I have to correct that it is not a wallcloud it is a shelfcloud. You can see here a grafic of a thunderstorm [link] you can see the wallcloud is located in the updraft part of a thunderstorm, an you can see it only when the thunderstorm has already passed you. The Shelfcloud is in front of a Thunderstorm.
Here is a picture of a Shelfcloud: [link] and here is one of a wallcloud [link] it is right that a tornado comes out of that but on your picture i see a shelfcloud.

That's actually literally called a "wall cloud", and you're right to be scared, those things can harbor tornadoes. The formation of a wall cloud or mesocyclone foreshadows the formation of a tornado, though they're very rare. Usually you just get a lot of wind and rain or hail.
What a nice shot! I love the aqua color radiating down from the clouds! And the view, few weather photographers are brave enough to get that close.

Well, since the clouds were passing straight over my house, I didn't really have much choice as far as "getting close" is concerned However, the humidity and temperature levels weren't nearly "perfect" enough to form a real tornado. In fact, even the smallest whirlwind is very, VERY rare here in Holland, let alone a real tornado (I don't even think we ever had one over here...).
But it *was* something I had never seen before though, so exciting nevertheless

I wouldn't expect a tornado in Holland either, but stranger things have happened, albiet rarely.
Tornadoes have occured in ever country and on every day of the year (not both though), except jan. 16.

Hehe, you seem to know quite a few things about tornadoes
I've dug up some statistics, and a tornado occurs in Holland about once per century; even then, it's never anything stronger than an F0 tornado on the Fujita scale, so that's (luckily) in no comparisation to the "real" tornadoes that occur in the US or similar countries which frequently suffer from tornadoes.

Yeah, Holland wouldn't have that kind of weather. The midwest USA is perfectly set up, with land and sea on either side, for severe storms...
Here in washinton state, we get 3-4 tornadoes a year, usually an F-2 or F-3... and a few funnel clouds.
