Been wanting to do something like this for a while now. In the past few years, I've been trying to play more with character design, so I wanted to show my design/inspiration process for some OCs. And since Yuuto's one of my favorite character designs, and this is his 1 year anniversary of being made, seemed like good timing.

1) I knew early on that I wanted my main BnHA oc to be a nurse/healer character. I wanted someone that would compliment Toshinori's physical needs, as well as design. I'm the weird person that liked Kabuto back in the early days of Naruto and was watching a lot of Scurbs to get ideas. Needless to say, I wasn't super thrilled with the first design -_-

2) I was also playing around with the idea of making a more androgynous character, but kept drawing more masculine jaw lines. Besides from knowing I wanted a "thicker" character, considering Onyx and Anton were two of my more recent OCs and shared a similar aesthetic, I didn't really have a good base in mind.

3) Decided I wanted to make a "good, soft boy" character, Lucio, Hunk and Hau all came to mind for the personality the kind of character I wanted to create. Yuuto fell into place pretty quickly after that.

4) Threw in two loose dreads at the front to frame his face a little and added a little bit of an ombre. His eyes were slightly bluer in his first official design, and I think his skin was a smidge darker. Also, his outfit was my sad attempt of not being afraid of color.

5) Changed coat to a leather, biker jacket to match his "tough love cinnamon roll" persona, got rid of the black turtleneck underneath, and the ends of his dreads will either be natural or blonde depending on whether the drawing if of him is during or prior to the series start.
