A terrific photograph at every level. The black and white and the contrast are expertly executed. The depth of field is impeccable to the subject. The subjects are caught in parallel profile with perfect expressions to the subject. The sideways glance to the camera is a cherry on top of this delicious visual offering. But for me, its the courage of the photograph assuming Mr. Kocher didn't know these two ladies. I have often walked by hairdressing salons with open shop windows and have frequently thought to take a shot. After all, if you are going to do it (do anything) in a window to the street you should expect at some point someone with a camera will walk by. But the moment of having your hair down has always seemed to me a bit of intimacy hard to invade and I am delighted that Mr. Kocher did it for me!
