The walked across the hill, the green grass bending beneath their feet. It was a warm evening with a cool breeze blowing. They had just come from a carnival, and so far it had been a magical night. The shouts and screams from children on the rides were now only a distant sound, the smell of cotton candy and cinnamon wafting through the air. His voice was soft and awed as he gazed up at the bright, glittering stars, and hers was the same as she gazed up at him. His arm was warm around her shoulders and it was the only thing she could pay attention to even though he was telling her about the constellations and their stories. The stars were amazing, but the ones in his eyes were even more so. She drank in his profile outlined by the glowing moon and her heart stuttered.
Something made him suddenly look down at her angelic face tinged in red, and he swallowed. Caught, she couldn't look away. The arm on her shoulder tightened and he pulled her to him unconsciously. They were pressed together, everything around them forgotten. His blue eyes were locked on her violet lips as he leaned down...

I also made this to go in the Summer Contest! No, it doesn't have beaches or water, but they were stargazing after a carnival. The festivals during the summer are my favorite part of it, and I have good memories of it
