It works on GNU/Linux too throughΒ !!
It would be great to know how to use Sculptris better, because I never get to things more than a face of a monster or similar, nothing with a body or nothing comparable to thisΒ www.taron.de/Storage/skulptrisβ¦
thank you!

According to Taron who created and still develops the program, when the same question was posted directly Taron's reply at Zbrush FOrum (where there is a Macrea thread with updated downloads periodically) is here:

People have asked me where I got the eye texture which I use in Sculptris on some of my Sculptris Characters so here is the link.
The texture was offered freely to the Sculptris user's community, all of which we are now part of : )
The forum thread and the forum itself is run by the original author of Sculptris and MaCrea:

And the direct download link for that eye Material along with the 15 other MaCrea / Sculptris Materials in that same batch is:

The reason that I emphasised using multiple Material shaders BEFORE entering into the Sculptris Paint Mode, is that I love tweaking the sculpture more while I have a good realtime light/shadow/shader/object angle relationship happening BEFORE I enter Paint Mode where it then is impossible to do additional sculpting tweaks. : )

actually I don't see it man. I went to the link to bookmark it and there was nothing but a link and it said that it had been moved. the link leads to a page about textures though and I didn't see the program you referred to.

Nice. Thanks. I got some mats from there today. Also grabbed that MaCrea thing. I even made a few of my own mats today. I'll test them out and play with them. then I'll probably upload them for whoever wants them. I'm working on a couple metallic ones with reflections of photographs I've taken.

cool. I'll try it when I get time. the books about ready btw. Reading it to my girlfriend as final test reading. It's already been through test readers and an editor. Just doing the final proof. I'll have to take a vacation from the internet I think to get the next book edited.

I got delayed on doing that and a few other things but I still intend to... i got nailed hard by a web rootkit virus that wiped out my entire OS and registry hive... had to reinstall windows and 11 thousand other programs yet to reinstall, grrrr! lol
anyhow, I'll get to it, it is on my (unexpectedly adjusted) priority list still! : )
