I decided the previous tutorial I made was to big and cluttered. So I re-did it to make it easier to understand.This tutorial is for GIMP 2.4 users. No more sloppy cutting people! I will be making a smudging tutorial soon, so stay tuned, lmao.
I have placed the credits on the picture. Hope this helps somebody. =]

oh and to anne1392...
the lasso is crap.
if you mess up, your screwed.
and the feather eraser on the mane & tail,
that doesnt help at all once you get to smudging it,
it just makes it look all blurry & bad.
the paths tool is the besttt! =]

I would use the lasso tool for this... And with the hairs, I would use a feathered eraser.

Well this tut was made for the Paths tool not the lasso tool or eraser.
