Ah Mimi i still remember my reaction to her becoming a spider machine thing ... "Okay what are you ... a cute green girl or a strange species of spider that are machines inside?" (Yeah no HOLY CRAP or anything like that 
In fact i still remember all my reactions to everything in my first playthrough of Super Paper Mario.

I can be scared of spiders sometimes but i don't have arachnophobia ... man Super Paper Mario was dark.
Where else are you gonna see a world completely destroyed by a black hole thing or see our heroes actually killed by the main villain and sent to pretty much hell or see fucking Mimi's transforming thing.
I seriously thought it was just gonna be a fun simple mario game with a simple story with probably some sad parts ... i love the game but man i did not expect the story or those certain moments.
