I know he intended for more brown and green, but I felt that drawing inspiration from Showa suits, Heisei suits, Alligators, and Sperm Whales would suit the big G more.Related content

It wasn't, when the director of the "Godzilla vs Gryphon" idea proposed a budget for the filmit was rejected and the studio hired Roland Emmerich who scrapped the design and had them create Zilla instead.
Ironically the budget for the 1998 movie was almost double what the original film would've been.
Personally if they added the feet of the 2014 version onto this design and make the dorsal spines a big pointier, it would be a perfect Godzilla.
