Description
There has been several news reports around town of break-in's and burglary's that made Leah a little uneasy. Hank was always safe, having a concealed weapon on his person at all times, but what about the horses in the barns when they locked up for the night? After many discussions, Hank and Leah decided the Valley needed some guard dogs to set her mind at ease. Plus, what barn is not whole without the k-9 sort? The next task was settling on a dependably, loyal breed that was friendly enough but could also hold its ground against unknown persons. Hank grew up with Dobermans and convinced Leah that they were what they should get. But he had to meet her in the middle; Leah wanted to adopt a rescue dog. It took a few months to have the right paper work done and be approved by the breed specific rescues in the state but finally they were put on the list. Now it's the long wait to find the right dogs.
"Hank I just received an email from one of the rescue groups in the area about a pair of Dobermans." Leah excitedly showed Hank a link that featured the two. "Well, thats not exactly what I had in mind, but I guess if their personality fits then their color doesn't matter," Hank said, noting the two cream colored Dobermans on the page.
Three days later Shekinah Valley Acres had it's own pair of Ghost Guardians.
Disclaimer: In real life I probably would not breed these dogs since their is a possibility this gene comes from inbreeding (thought there is debate about that). I have not done a lot of research on this breed or this color, but it does exist. With that said, I am going to breed these two for white puppies (and they will be open to the public) and I am going to start a little circle of Ghost Guardians because, let's face it, it's rpg, we can do as we wish right?

Yeah, though I've only done one nights worth of reading on it (choosing dobermans was so random, I know nothing of the breed). From what I can tell they don't know a whole lot about it; there is one side that considers it albino, but another that doesn't and calls it a diluted gene. As with anything there is always 2 sides, one says its caused from inbreeding, another said that can happen with any other colors, one side says they have worse behavioral problems, another says no worse than an ill trained dog. ect. ect. lol They do tend to have skin issues and can be sensitive to the sun.

Isabella is a color you can find in many breeds, as is cream and platinum. Pale dobermans are just a really pale isabella (are both blue and liver and these two gene pairs active in the same dog makes isabella). Cream is a really light shade of red, and platinum is even lighter, but neither is white. Albino happens, too, but since I see a bit on the doberman points pattern, I'd say they're just really light colored dogs. You don't need to inbreed for a color. That just happens when people are too lazy to go look for stock and if their dogs don't carry it, they get nothing unusual. The genes are recessive, so you need both of the red, blue and liver genes to be the right gene to get the color. It's actually really easy to have dogs carry colors for generations and they won't show until somebody picks a stud and find the bitch and stud both carry something when it gives a puppy of a new color.

Sounds very confusing XD I'll need to do a research of my own to see what I come up with. Perhaps its similar to how the cream gene affects chestnut horses, one copy makes palomino, two make cremello :3 but I don't know any dog genetics so its just a hunch

Well after doing a little bit of searching turns out that there already is a coat color variety with red coat dilution called "fawn" :U example here: [link] and the other variety folks call albino, so who knows, maybe they are albino after all [link]

Wow, they look so great! I never knew they came in cream coat color as well!
Dobermanns are probably the only dogs I like better with cropped ears.

Me too, I usually like long eared dogs, but these guys look like a totally different breed with un-cropped ears.
