I love the lines in this one... and your love and sense of line all together. I really and truly dig the almost spiral nature of the line movement with that great back horizontal one to act as a counter to it. And the red and purple cleft up close to the top is a great touch to top things off.
Great painting... as they all seem to end up as

beside i had this pancake association too i like that this one is painted to the edge of the sheet. the cave [link] you submitted recently was an object on the paper - an object in a strange way - showing your recognition or concentration on the very near surrounding of the cave.
in this pieces - as well as in your description - is the whole west coast despite you just show a little part of it, just a view stones erroded by the northern weather, just a view lichens resisting the rough western weather. if my could is over eventually i'd love to have a nice long walk there with you - talking about your life and mine and the age of the stones and what's behind the horizon.
afterwards when we are cold it's a good opportunity for another absolut [or maybe a nice cup of tea].

i just mentioned them because of the previous comments ... the more important part of my comments is the one following the pancakes

hmmm - i think i meant something different. i wrote more metaphoric - as the cave sit's on the paper as an object with borders and white space arround. so there is no connection to infinity as in this piece - there is no limit and i can imagine this shore as far as i want it - until the horizon and beyond. that's the difference i tried to talk about. (please forget about the pancakes!)

Is not just a piece of rock!!
everything has a connotation, or a significate.
something is hide in the imagen and that is the simbolism.

The dreamy scheme and textures of this piece are really great. The top-right area is beautiful!
