Description
Aquarelle, acrylic & ink 2007I have tortured this poor painting for a long time now, trying to save it. Enough is enough, I don't think it could take much more abuse...

Eek, I'm sorry if I sounded rather rude with this comment.
I meant that I couldn't pinpoint any certain thing that makes me like it as much as I do.

Once again you are amazing. I really love the lights, stonework, and as always, the edges of your paintings!!!

i think it turned out great! im working as a cityplanner and these underpasses are subject to a lot of safety issues regarding assaults etc.. so i like this a lot. it shows both how practical and easy they are, but at the same time they are something people dont like at night.
(or maybe its just me)
anyway, as always, VERY nice painting technique you have. the painting feels alive.

I think it`s really difficult to paint the night. You do it very good. I love the lights. And the underpass is fantastic! I wonder how did the steps of the painting process look like. It would be nice to see some phases.

Nice work and a great companion piece to Traficlights! I love these emotive wet city scapes you have done, all two of them .
I would agree with most that the top is the strong part of it. The bottom half seems a bit too forced. I think it might be the blue (water?) that you have running through that area. A more reflective looking surface to help pull the top into the bottom might have been a touch better, but then again, that part looks like the one that was the focus of the torture.
Still, it's a great painting even if your having a hard time seeing it right now (that can sometimes take years to see... in my case at least ). That overpass is great, those black spots and watery looking wear, and well, hell, the general mood that you create with your watery chaos is still just beautiful.

Very nice. I like the sense of looking through a wet pane of glass.

good to know that you are doing better! did you catch a cold? should it be winter up there ???
about the small text:
the code is (without the _ )
<_sup_> to start and
to end the small text. so
<_sup_> to start and
to end the small text. so
<_sup_> art is torture turns into
<_sup_> art is torture
if you don't write the end-code it doesn't matter, it still works and everything after it will be in small text.

Just put it to one side IF you don`t think you`ve finished - revisit it in a few months or years!
Love the top half - very atmospheric!

I really like this, especially the rough textures and the shining lights up top. I think it looks wonderful, but I can relate having to stick to a painting for too long and getting fed up and feeling like its torture for both you, and the painting.
