I think the new costumes are actually quite sexy, you don't have to show all of your skin to be sexy. I think NRS realized that they needed to clean up their image for professional playing competitions. I along with a lot of arena players where shocked when Mortal Kombat took the route Soul Calibur has with Ivy for all of their female characters suddenly. So, that combined with the Electronic Sports League recently sanctioning larger MK events, I think NRS actually took the right approach. Make the girls hot but also make them actually look like fighters and not like they are in porn (nothing wrong with porn but there is a time and place for everything and it is not while I'm working), so that we can play the game publicly in tournaments which usually have young kids watching us compete. So, honestly while you want to blame the SJW community in these comment sections, maybe look at the bigger picture. They did what was best for the majority of the community.

I like how they even edit a scene of Kitana beating Scoprion as he says it, kind of implying "Hey everyone! Please understand! it doesnΒ΄t matter what our women dress like! What makes these women so badass is that they can fight!"
I mean there is nothing wrong if you or anyone liked how the costumes looked like in MK9, but letΒ΄s not blame the game for not being something that it never meant to be.
