Description
(Now in color!) My submission for 's "Laced!" Portfolio, which showcases anthros in corsets: [link] (I based mine off of these chainmail ones here: [link] , the golden one in particular).
A note on the background: art deco pastels are my fav colors, but I'm kinda bummed about how the background colors came out on this, because they are a lot darker than I intended. I didn't have a light enough lavendar color, and my light peach Prisma marker died before I got to the bottom, so I had to make a gradient from light peach to salmon, and it looks rather streaky to me, even with the colored pencil burnishing to try to smooth it. :/ *sigh*

ohhhh, your art is so beautiful. the first time i saw it, i thought you were a painter, as you are unbeliveably neat with couled pencils, etc. This is a very unusual anthro creature! it usually just an animal with a human body- but this stands out. I adore the elegent pose, and the fantastic textured fur feathers etc. despite the animal combo being quite unusual, it fits like a dream! The little costume is lovelly too! a must fav!

This is simply beautiful, Swandog. It goes without saying that you've captured a look of absolute elegance and feminine beauty - there are many things to show this, but the graceful curves of the neck, spine, tail, and wings especially leap out to me. And of course, that flowing fur compliments the whole effect. (You must be endowed with quite inhuman patience!) On a slight tangent - honestly I never would have thought it was possible to combine two so very different animals into such an aesthetically pleasing composite creature. Testament to your skills of design, surely! I can't help thinking, though, that the peach/salmon gradient on the background was a blessing in disguise...It helps the eye to travel around the image as a whole, and gives it depth. Also has a nice 'sunset' quality about it. Warm colours, very soothing.
