Description My third space-only scene,

this time, a deep space scene, a barren planet, in the left, and, hope for inhabitable planets to be existing in those nebulae are less .

Hope you like it

It's nice to see someone else making space scenes entirely in PS.

Sorry, Swaroop, I have no critique! Except this:
In the words of Greg Martin: "I feel the next
generation has caught up with me!"
Brilliant, buddy!

Here is another of the few space scenes that i actually like. Not normally a big fan of space scenes, but this one is nice, especially with the atmosphere

this is awesomely made. I have a question that someone such as yourself could answer. I believe in my favorites is the type of scene im talking about.
It is a terragen render....but the sky was made so it goes waaaaaaaay up and you can see the stars and they photoshopped into the night sky planets and nebulas and a fractal image....it looks awesome and I want to try it. is there a way to make the sky goe up that high? or would I have to crop the image and then build onto it with a photo editor?
well done again.......id love to try something like this..howd you do the nebula?

is there a way to make the sky goe up that high?

try rendering with camera pan =90 or -90

or may be, as you said, using a photoediter

wow this is fantastic, i really like the fact the planet on the left is just peaking into view, it almost gives the viewer the impression they are on a satalite orbiting the planet. The colours of the nebular are fantastic.

i just had an idea...

if youre looking to change your style of art...

you could try and paint these on canvas...

like really really BIG paintings of space... it would look great!

um yeah...

Ok......That settles it. I'm jealous. No I have to hunt you down and try to Ki......errrr....I mean steal your secrets.

This is totally gorgeous man... It's obvious to me that the nebula is the main focal point in this. I love the bright yellow and oranges you used, they pull the eye right to it. I like how you have the planet peeking in there also...It shows that outerspace isn't just filled with pretty lights.

Excellent Job!!!

I think that the planet is a bit on the dark side. I don't know maybe it should have more light. I think I creating star down but what's your technique to create nebulas?
Also do you know of any good planet tuts?

Kalessin1 [2005-06-11 01:11:41 +0000 UTC]

Wow. I love the space, the stars and the colours look really awesome, but i don't like that little bit of planet, it just draws the eye away from the beauty of the stars.

I love it

Swaroop In reply to Kalessin1 [2005-06-11 02:24:08 +0000 UTC]

the planet is necessary to make the scene look balanced or , the scene would start looking like a fratal

planet is also the barren thing here in SpaceScene2-barrenRegion

Super space art! I love the colors in that nebula...it's gorgeous! I think you composed this image exactly how you wanted it to be, and I think it works very well that way! It does lead the viewer to the nebula, but I still know there is a planet there (it's just not the main focus). Bravo, my friend!!

Definately great work on nebula - looks wonderful ! The things I can crit are, planet texture can be more detailed. Also this white/gradient border doesn't look fit to space art - a black frame with white logos could fit good. Just my 2 cents... I really like your work on starfield and nebula

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Swaroop In reply to KeremGo [2005-06-11 02:22:10 +0000 UTC]

thanks Kerem

the planet was supposed to be barren so didnt add much details

and, then, balckframe for a space art would not be cool as black frame would look as empty space with no starfield

The nebula looks great, but I think the planet detracts from the rest some, it draws the eye just enough.

Swaroop In reply to Nfora [2005-06-11 02:20:45 +0000 UTC]

if the planet were not to be there, the scene would not have a barren lok
