image inspired in part by Across The Universe (the song. I have in total three versions of it, quite without meaning to). basically, this is what art block and low-artly-self-esteem feels like.thankfully the block was over by the time I drew this. I actually like it. I may colour.

i've been at SCHOOL! and getting ENGAGED! and really, really busy and stressed and tired. I barely ever check online anymore and I haven't been able to draw in forever; and MG hasn't even crossed my mind in a month *cries*
but it's really good stuff distracting me . . . lol so i shouldn't complain!

I'm fine! Bit busy, but that's to be expected. I want to graduate and start getting a real job so badly, I feel like a lazy bum who's still in school and not working - since I can't get a job off campus because of my student visa. bah. oh well everything in its - His - time. ^^

ahh yah i know i totally am feeling lazy-bum-ish too... only i don't have a legit reason like a visa holding me up from getting a job. Mostly there's not very much here on campus and other than that I'd need a car to drive to the town which is like 10 mins away by car sooo i don't have a car so i can't get a job so it's a moot point! BUT i will get one this summer and save save save! get married! then have a car and a hosue here at school and THEN have a job here ha ha

Ahh, I know that feeling. Really good job, mood and emotion is great. Really gives off a frustrated angry vibe but at the same time really sad kind of feeling, which goes hand in hand with art block.

Quite impressively captures the frustration and hopelessness one feels when she realizes her attempts at producing anything of consequence are futile. But then hay! I made this out of that hopelessness!!! Maybe it's NOT futile! Oh, the cycle of emotions we artists go through. This is really great. Simplistic lines and such, but powerful. Your understanding of animal and human anatomy is impressive.

shut up loser. of course I get art blocks. that is why there are long periods when I don't upload anything. I only upload less than a quarter of what I actually draw - i.e. what I deem to be actually presentable to the internet public. I wish you'd stop acting all shocked when I reveal myself to have any sort of flaw or vulnerability, you said the same thing when I posted on my LJ a while back about me feeling insecure and crying. I AM ONLY HUMAN U KNO. ;_;

I envy how well you can draw people. especially the crumpled papers... I fail at crumpled papers, or mini drawings on drawings for that matter 
and I don't know why but the close up foot attracts my attention really well

awws! well sometimes you just have to force yourself to warm up and get started, and you start getting into the flow after a while. for both writing and art. I guess art school can just make one feel really inadequate sometimes.

yeah, agreed. it's a lot harder to actually start than to keep going, you know? (I was all reluctant to start writing today and then after a page I went, hey, I don't want to stop yet! this is fun! of course, I was also revisiting missed characters (mila being one of them))
