Thought I'd try something a little different. I think the main reason I have been in a slump as far as actually finishing pictures are concerned is because I got bored with my own routine, so... yay, experiments?The trade I'm doing with ~xcelestex was the perfect opportunity to play around with a colour scheme, since we both decided to do a colour-themed trade. This picture of Celeste is perhaps the most fun I've had with digital art in quite a while. :3 Hope you like!

Te-hee, I think the fact that you don't really see her eyes makes it kinda mysterious. : ) I would image she would leap out of the picture into her mysterious ways after looking behind like that - without showing her eyes to you. That's why I get the mysteriousness. X3 And I'm loving it.

I didn't pick the colour, Celeste did. xD how we did this trade was we each picked a colour to go with our chosen character that the other person had to use as a theme for the picture. Celeste did a wonderful picture of my Asp in green. :3

Thank you Kichi! I'd never really worked with purple before, I tend to prefer blues and greens and really just all the warm shades, but I had so much fun with this.

Your welcome! I think it would be hard to line a picture....but can't you just make a line picture and erase the line? WOuld that work?

It would, but I don't really like the look of it. After you've coloured under the lines the edges of the coloured bits tend to look wobbly - which could be all right if it were incorporated somehow but it just tends to look sloppy to me. How I did this was I did a sketch first, did a sketchy outline on a layer on top, and then put the colours on the layer with the sketchy outline. :3

Flowiness is fun to draw! I think Celeste might have inspired me on the cleanness and flowiness, her art is beautiful like that.
Apparently colour-themed pictures give me lots of ideas. I should think about doing that more often.
