It's a little of cute AND disturbing, considering the babbu is cute but the circumstances disturbing.

Serenity and calm.
Serenity comes from the significant lack of artifical equipment in the tube with the hedgehog. Rather than make this a bio-mechanical horror of the cyberpunk genre, with wires, metal implements, and synthetic appendages protruding from every crevice of this little guy, you only have a few wires here, with no details indicating entry wounds. We can assume that they are superficial and that they are simply monitoring life signs passively, as the little tike continues his rest. The fetal position symbolizes some kind of pre-birth situation, whether it is natural or not, so we feelt at ease. The lack of other elements complicating the piece lends to these ideals.
Calm descends from the monochrome field in which he is bathed. Meticulous attention is given to his eyes, hands, fingers, feet, and toes, which are all in the relaxed positions. The solution seems even to muffle sound in virtue of its dark green color. The little bubbles shows he is breathing softly and cleanly. Great prepubescent anatomical sense.
A simple, yet evokative piece. Well done

No, but really, he's cute. I guess maybe I'm disturbed enough to not find this disturbing. I don't know....
I hope he grows out of that tube at some point though. And learns who are his mommy and his daddy (if he's got parents, that is). That would be nice. I wish him luck.

I saw this drawing from far away and it immediately inspired me to draw a very sad looking monster... it doesnt look anything like a hedgehog but it has a mane of quills so im not quite sure how this inspired me to draw it im just leaving a comment to say thankyou, ive favorited this adorable little guy and when i post my moster ill be sure to give your hedgehog credit as inspiration

anyway, for some reasons, when I saw this I ended up exclaiming "ohhhh!!! Baby Sonic!"
Dunno why you would put him in there when most of (if not all) your Sonic-related work is based onto the Fleetway universe.
Perhaps it's because I have my own agenda for Sonic's past and this reflect it.

My stuff's Fleetway based but with a few twists. I mean... did you ever actually -see- Sonic's family? And it's implied he wasn't normal even before turning blue...
Not that this is necessarily Sonic of course. Could be Shadow. Could even be Phoenix. Could be that random clone from STC. I honestly don't know XD

Well, after analyzing the quill stylings of the little tyke, I must conclude that it is in fact, a baby Shadow, who's quills will eventually solidify into his current style.
Just my analysis.

I'm guessing young Sonikku. Reason being and drawing upon the fact you are a Fleetway fan, young Sonic was a brown little handsome devil may care, and those quills seem like a giveaway.
