Description
A little break from the fire tests, here's a little something different....I decided since Mossflower starts with a "cold opening" *wink wink*, I'd give my hand a try at some wintertime special FX. So I drew a quick sketch of a fort, touched it up with my limited knowledge of Photoshop, and then added some falling snow and color grading.
This is a work in progress, so any criticism is appreciated.

If there was anything I would change, it would be to make the snowflakes not disappear. They're sort of winking off and on, like fireflies; snow is a solid matter and doesn't vanish (except when it's combined with 1,000,000,000,000 other snowflakes on the ground ).
Someone else already said to speed up the rate of their falling, so I won't reiterate that . . .
Great job otherwise! That sunset is gorgeous. I particularly like the night part, where the snow seems to glow, just like it does in real life.

WHOA. That was AWESOME! Absolutely beautiful, all the colors fading into each other, the snowflakes, it was just awesome.
Wow, this is gonna be such a great movie!

Perhaps increase the snow falling speed by just a teeeeensy bit, like a nanosecond or two =b but other than that I like it, especially when it hits the colour grade of that contrasting blue, pink and orange mix, absolutely beautiful
This isn't a criticism on this but just for the opening which this is a test for. Keep in mind that the snow is very light so when a gust of wind comes the snow will probably change its linear direction to a swirly/curvey/whirlpool kind of one and then slowly return to normal. Just some food for thought maybe you can give that some practise as this one is fine.

Thank you, and that should be no problem.
I know exactly how to do that. Also for the opening, I was wondering if you'd want it coming down slightly heavier too?

Yeah sure heavier maybe worth a shot but not by too much as it's pretty good as it is, maybe just mae it cover more screen area, don't make the snowflakes too much bigger.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
