Description
After months of collecting dust in my closet, I decided to bust out my Minolta SRT and take it to Stone Groove last Tuesday night at the Vagabond. Where my D-40 failed, this bad boy just proved that sometimes old fossils are better than new gizmos. I fucking love black and white film photography. I'm definitely going to continue using this for a while.Related content

As do I but I sadly don't have access to a darkroom right now. I use the same minolta body you're holding in your ID pic. What equipment do you use, in general?

I used to use the darkroom in my school, but since I switch my major I don't have access to it anymore. Currently I Walgreens and Wolf Camera develop and scan my film until I can get access to a darkroom again.
Equipment? I shoot digital with a Nikon D40 with a standard 50mm lens which isn't all that great. I'm trying to get a new one. Film, I shoot with the Minolta SRT-100 I'm holding in my picture and a Minolta X-700 that I borrowed from a friend. The X-700 is the camera on the floor in that same picture. I have a few macro lenses for my minoltas but I don't make much use of them. I shoot mostly with a 50mm lens. I also have two umbrella lights for studio shoots. That's about all I have. lol

Thank you. I really think so too. B&W film is definitely much more emotional and dramatic sometimes.

my first reaction was !!!
the shot is absolutely amazing. the focus, angle and lighting are simply breathtaking at it comes from a guy who dislikes b&w photography.
I am absolutely flabbergasted with that image.
Thanks you so much for posting it!!!
