Spring is indeed on its way! However, these poppies have bloomed quite a bit early. They are from mixed color oriental poppies I planted from seed years ago by the goldfish pond in my backyard. I planted them along the fence, but this one plant found its way to the front in the rock garden-too close to the walkway but too pretty to pull out- we just go around!The bees go crazy over them! Maybe I'll catch a bee pic later!

Oh my gosh...now I am jealous...what beautiful poppies. They never last through the winter for me although some people have more luck up here.

This plant is a real survivor. It is in the walkway so it gets stepped on, the lawn mower dragged over it, hottest sun, etc. But every year it comes back and so gorgeous we protect it as much as possible.

Beautiful... (sigh)... I wish spring was coming here. All I have is dull dead brown grass that is finally starting to show after being covered in a couple feet of snow for a while.

Pretty! Reminds me of the photo I took of the gentians. Can't decide if spring is coming here yet or not, keeps alternating between wet and dreary and sunny.

Spring is here today! Daffodils, poppies, weeds, and the peach tree is starting to blossom too! Lovely sunshine
