Greetings my deviant friends, here I-have you with another part of my personal project, Aliens Data, where I talk about the species of Aliens or Xenomorphs, and in this case, I bring you another important member of the hive, the general and second in command:

Pretorian: The Praetorian is practically like a prince in the xenomorph society, his appearance is like a combination between a normal drone and the queen with differences in size and color. When some xenomorph drone or Warrior (or of any kind) was very faithful and helpful to the queen, she will cover him with a royal "jelly" with which he will enter a state of metamorphosis and become a Praetorian who is the second to hive command. If the original queen dies, either due to time or in combat, the preo-tyrant will enter a new state of hibernation and metamorphosis to become the new queen. Now, in the colony there can be more than one Praetorians, one of the objectives of a Xenomoprhos hive is to expand to new territories and conquer them, for that the Praetorians take several of the colony's warriors and establish new individual colonies and they automatically cover themselves in queens that follow the orders of a greater queen called Empress.

Like all Xenomorph, the Praetorians have weaknesses, to start being the second in command they have to be well protected or know how to defend themselves, since it is the legacy to be able to create a new hive. In addition to the queen, the metamorphosis caused this creature to sacrifice its agility and ability to climb surfaces. Not to mention that now he is big and has a huge crest, he has a hard time crossing small and narrow spaces.
