Okay, I am not newbie but are you using tile editor ? If so, I can try and rip Shade Man and puzzle weird pieces of Shade Man together.

I actually used a tile ripper known as yychr or something like that i can't remember

There is one missing: A death sprite. Where did you find Shade Man sprite original version for NGPC ? I am aware that NGPC game does have Shade Man.
There are NGPC sprites at sprites-inc.co.uk but Shade Man isn't in it at all.
